Taking inspiration from the method Hokusai used for his print work hundreds of years ago and reimagining it into a modern medium, I broke the work down into multiple layers. This was intended to be similar to the way woodblock printing was done in the past to apply different colours.
This replica used printed sections of images onto seperate layers of 6mm Acrylic and then combined to create the finished piece.
